Big changes in 2010, although I am still offering a consultation based service to help you and your horse I am going to also do individual/shared lessons. This has come about as a result of the credit crunch and realizing that there are many clients that would like shorter but more regular visits based on an hourly rate. Video-ing of consultaions is encourage for personal use, but we ask that video footage is not  uploaded to any public forums or You Tube. Loading consultation One of the most common problems that I deal with are loading problems, there is nothing more frustrating than being ready to go somewhere and not be able to load, or worst case scenario, have an emergency and you can't get to the vets. When I arrive I will work with your horse away from the transport so that he understands the principles of pressure and release. Once your horse understands what it being asked (this can take up-to 20 minutes) I then take your horse to the transport and start to work with him/her. The point of the pressure halter isn't to drag your horse onto the transport but to be in a position to counteract their evasions. Once your horse is loading but still being a bit sticky I will hand over to you as the owner and talk you through the process so that you are able to come out the next day and be-able to load your horse yourself. The whole point of this for me is that you can go this on your own without help. If you follow your homework and remember the key exercises you shouldn't run into problems...if you do then you can either call me or if you still can't quite get there I will come back out for diesel cost only when I am in your area and go through things again. An average visit lasts between 2.5 - 4 hours This guarantee is 3 months from the time of visit. Cost The cost is based on how far you are from me (CB9 0PR) Within an hour £300 (includes consultation, travel, insurance, Halter,) within 2 & half hours £350 (includes consultation, travel, insurance and Halter) Upto 4 hours £400 (includes consultation, travel, insurance, and halter) If you are over 4 hours then there will be £20 added for ever hour after 4 hours.  I will set the time by Sat Nav and doesn't include delays on the road  Ridden Consultations Are you having real difficulties and feel that an hour's lesson wouldn't be enough I can help on a more of a consultation basis which will be charged at hourly rate of £100 and can be from 2.5 - ­ 4 hours. I can help with basic schooling probems, to more severe problems such as napping, rearing, bucking and mounting problems. Most ridden problems will improve after one visit but I do recommend a follow up visit if you want to get the best out of your horse, (this will be charged on an hourly basis plus travel), normally an hour's follow up is fine. I will assess your horse on the day and advise you accordingly. Handling Consultations This covers everything from correct foal handling, improving in-hand work for showing and the horse that doesn't have any manners on the ground. Most handling problems can be sorted out with one visit but this will vary depending on the severity of the problem, I will assess your horse on the day then advise you accordingly. This isn't just about having a polite horse, it's about being safe and knowing that if you are walking down the road and a big truck comes hurtling towards you, you and your horse will be safe. These visits can be charged on an hourly basis from between 2 -4 hours initially and then shorter follow up visits if you would like more regular sessions.
